Lovely fabric once the nap was aligned

The velvet worked nicely for a formal garment and gave the finished piece a polished look. The color had good depth, and the finished seams looked smooth with careful pressing. The layers shifted a little at first, but hand basting solved it. The reflective finish caught the light nicely without overwhelming the rest of the design. Overall, it was a solid choice and I would order it again.
