Beautiful velvet with careful cutting

I used this velvet for a formal garment, and it suited the project very well. The pile looked rich, and cutting all pieces in one direction gave a professional result. The layers shifted a little at first, but hand basting solved it. The stretch made fitting easier and the fabric returned to shape after handling. With that small adjustment, the finished result looked very good.
