Lovely fabric once the nap was aligned

The velvet worked nicely for a formal garment and gave the finished piece a polished look. The color had good depth, and the finished seams looked smooth with careful pressing. The nap requires careful layout, so I allowed extra time for cutting. The stretch made fitting easier and the fabric returned to shape after handling.
